James Doohan Remains Will Be Sent to the Final Frontier

James Doohan, the actor who played the chief engineer of the original Starship Enterprise died Wednesday at the age of 85. And now his ashes will be blasted into the final frontier.

His remains will be "beamed up" by a company called Space Services Inc. which has ties with commercial launch organizations. The company previously sent the ashes of "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry into space, as well as 1960s acid guru Timothy Leary.

A few grams of Doohan's ashes will be aboard the Falcon 1 rocket launching in September from California's Vandenberg Air Force Base. Also on the flight will be the ashes of Star Trek writer John Meredyth Lucas, who died in 2002. The remains of both men will be sealed in an aluminum capsule and will eventually burn up when they re-enter Earth's atmosphere.

Definitely the perfect burial for the chief engineer who saved the Enterprise weekly from warp drive and shield failure, collisions, sabotage, explosions, transporting meltdowns, tribble invasions, and Klingon attacks. Farewell...

Kudos and welcome home to Ange and adorable little Zahara (cool name) who arrived back in L.A. over the weekend. Reports are saying that the actress and her newly adopted daughter from Ethopia are staying at Brad Pitt's Malibu home.

According to Junketeering Journalists, Angelina Jolie is "one of the most fun celebrities to interview. She's always in jeans and without make-up." Not so well-spoken of, are other celebrities who two veteran New York-based junketeers told the New York Post don't belong up on a pedestal:

"Tom Cruise has only two ways of expressing himself: He either wields a 'dead-serious expression' like Ben Stiller's Blue Steel stare in 'Zoolander,' or he just 'laughs and laughs inexplicably' flashing his million-dollar choppers. It's disturbing. You don't know what he's laughing about."

"Jennifer Lopez is 'gorgeous, but totally business-like, terrible. There was nothing real about it. I was the only one who dared ask her something about Marc Anthony. She responded with a non-answer, but her Miramax publicist muscled me after it. I said, 'See you later,' and the publicist said, 'I doubt it.'"
, "Brad Pitt, up close, lives up to his last name. He has pockmarks the size of the La Brea Tar Pits and his teeth are yellow and cigarette-stained."

"Harrison Ford proved why his bad temper is so well-known. When I mentioned the word 'charisma,' and asked him why he's so in demand to play heroes on screen, he cut me off, saying, 'If you want to talk about charisma, go find Ricky Martin.' I was speechless after that."

Paris Hilton's Ma Slams Her Own Show On an Open Mic!

Paris' mom, Kathy Hilton, reportedly said "This show fucking sucks" during taping of a recent episode of her reality series "I want to be a Hilton."

According to Gawker.com, an eyewitness on the set reported this scene: "During the taping last summer of the final ‘contest’ scene … Kathy was whispering to the person sitting next to her (one of the previously ousted contestants) that ‘This show fucking sucks.’"

"It seems the torture of sitting through hours of watching a really boring taping of her really boring show was getting to her as well."

, A few moments later, the source says that she was seen "getting up, walking in front of the cameras and out the door, and then proceeding to scream at some hapless victim outside the room at the top of her lungs — while her microphone was still live. This caused a frantic scramble from the sound people to ‘cut her mic!’"

Too bad they won't show her outburst on an upcoming episode - THAT would help the show's less-than-spectacular ratings. Only 6.8 million viewers tuned in to the debut on June 21, compared to twice that - 13 million - who watched daughter Paris' debut on "The Simple Life" back in 2003.

Fan Mail Address: Danica Patrick. Race Car Driver. USA

While Danica Patrick was a virtual unknown outside of the racing world last spring, she's now garnered almost stardom "household name" status since her 4th position start at the Indy 500.

She's so popular now that she's getting mail from around the world addressed simply as: "Danica Patrick. Race Car Driver. Indianapolis."

Sure enough, the letters make their way to the motor speedway offices and [eventually, I suppose] get to Danica. Pfft, when your fans don't mess with things like zip codes or street addresses and the villians at the United States Post Office give you a pass, you know you're SOMEBODY.

In fact, race officials have told reporters that 10,000 more tickets have been sold for the upcoming August 14 Kentucky IRL 300 than had sold at this same time last year. Last year's IRL race at the Kentucky Speedway drew 61,885 fans, the largest crowd at the Speedway for an IRL race, and next month's race could see an even larger crowd.
, Although Patrick has yet to win a race, she said she is satisfied in the progress she has made: "I think that everybody hopes I do well. The smart people know that I'm very early in my career," Patrick said.

"I've done so little, and I've done so little oval racing, there's just so much things that are new to me. Smart people, people that are educated in motor racing, know where I'm at in the learning curve. They have a good grasp of what's going on each and every weekend."

What Patrick has done more than anything is boost the IRL's image and exposure. This year's Indy 500 TV ratings were the race's highest since 1996, and Patrick became the first IRL driver to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. You go girl.

Burnt Sienna dumps Nanny-shagging Jude Law

Actress Sienna Miller is said to have "exploded with rage" after learning fiance Jude Law cheated on her and had an affair with his children's nanny.

Sienna told friends she and Jude had had a series of furious rows and has since taken time off from her run in a London West End show. The actress was on stage for "As You Like It" on Monday night, but reportedly broke down in tears at the curtain call bows when the audience loudly showed their support for her.

Meanwhile, Jude released a statement on Monday apologizing to Sienna for having an affair with Daisy Wright, 26, three months into their seven-month engagement. A friend told the Daily Mirror, "She can't face the world. The full implications of Jude's betrayal have now hit home. She's in bits. It's like there's been a death in the family. She branded him a 'bloody disgrace'."

Well, boo-fricking-hoo to St. Sienna. Wasn't she engaged to Jude BEFORE he was divorced from his wife, Sadie, who had just given birth to their child? Talk about betrayal ...

Raven Symone Continues Strong Career with Popular Show and a New Movie

Teen star Raven is taking her show "That's So Raven" into a 4th season and can now boast that it is the longest-running show on the Disney cable network.

"I'm so proud of it," she said of the show, which has been the basis for a video game and fashion line, and earned an Emmy nomination last week.

The 19-year-old has also recently wrapped a serious dramatic role, playing a student who forces her high school outside Atlanta to vote on whether to end their long-standing tradition of segregated proms for blacks and whites.

, "I was so excited that I got to work on it, that they weren't blindsided by the fact that I did comedy," she says of the Lifetime movie, "For One Night."

Raven acknowledges that such a story taking place only three years ago is "amazing, but then again, I've experienced racism. It's still there. It's ignorance that keeps it alive. I hope this opens some people's eyes. I'm happy that it's going to go down as my first venture away from Disney as an adult."

Paris Hilton Dream to be Princess at Her Wedding Quashed

Another gigantic media BS story has come to a close. Officials in London have rule Paris Hilton ineligible to be married at St. Paul's Cathedral, saying it was for royals only.

Paris, being a royal pain in the arse, may have only done it for publicity, although she is used to getting what she wants, so she may have thought she had a shot. But according to a story in Hello Magazine, the Paris/Paris duo will have to settle for Greece for the lavish day:

"Paris has made no secret of her desire to walk down the aisle with namesake Paris Latsis in the historic environs of Britain's most important cathedral. 'I've got my heart set on a ceremony in St Paul's,' she declared recently. 'I've always wanted to be a princess on my big day and only a wedding in England could make that happen.'"

, Those in charge of the historic church, which is one of the most celebrated features of London's skyline, say they have said no to the socialite's request: "Only royalty can marry on the cathedral floor. You can't buy your way in, no matter how rich you are," said a rep.

Wesley Snipes Told Not to come back to South Africa

Actor Wesley Snipes has been labeled an "undesirable" in South Africa for allegedly trying to pass through an airport with a fake passport.

The World Entertainment News Network reported today, that the "Blade" actor was detained at Johannesburg Airport last month after immigration officials determined the South African passport the actor was carrying was fake.

A South African official said the actor told her he had applied for the South African papers through his U.S. attorney. He was later allowed to return home because he was carrying a valid U.S. passport with him, but South Africa reduced his immigration status to "undesireable" as a result of the incident.

No explanation was given as to why Snipes needed a non-U.S. passport.

Cameron Diaz Says She's Not Ashamed of Topless Pics

Former "Charlie's Angels" star Cameron Diaz testified in a Los Angeles courtroom Thursday that she had nothing to hide as far as topless pictures taken early in her career were concerned.

Cameron testified she wasn't ashamed of topless pictures taken early in her career by a photographer she said later threatened to sell them before the "Charlie's Angels" sequel premiered in order to portray her as a "bad angel."

"I wasn't ashamed to be out there like that," Diaz said at the criminal trial of John Rutter, who took the photos in 1992 and 11 years later allegedly tried to sell them back to her for $3.5 million.
, Confronted with the 1992 photos of her in fishnet stockings, leather boots and, in at least one shot, holding a chain attached to a male model's neck, Diaz said Thursday she wasn't enthusiastic about releasing the pictures, although she did believe her bare breasts looked good in them.

"At least I have that going for me," she said.

World is Wild about Harry. Author Still a Mystery

The young wizard returns to Hogwarts tonight at one minute past midnight as eager fans around the world line up to get a copy of Book 6, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

Readers have been champing at their wands wondering 'Will another character die'? After a long two-year wait, Author JK Rowling, says that yes, she does intend to kill more characters in this and future books. Sorry. But she says that she feels "really guilty" about the death of Harry's godfather, Sirius, in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

Rowling, now a billionaire and the best-selling modern author of all time, is a bit of a mystery herself. She shuns public life, declines interviews, doesn't do publicity tours or shill for her books. Not that she needs to -- Harry Potter sells itself. She leads a relatively anonymous life, and may someday rival J.D. Salinger as history's most famously reclusive writer.

, That being said, Rowling has agreed to appear with Katie Couric on NBC’s "Dateline" this Sunday, July 17th, and again on July 18th on the "Today Show". That should be good for some wizard insight. And she has been interviewed by a teen from Wales for a special for UK television, also on Sunday night, called "Harry Potter at the Castle: The JK Rowling Interview."
