It's been reported that Ben Affleck took back the ring he gave to his first fiance, Jennifer Lopez, a few years ago and he traded down for a less expensive one for his next bride-to-be, Jennifer Garner.
Ben wanted the hard cash, of course, but the jewelers weren't going to give him the money back. Reports say he was unable to get a refund on J-Lo's pink giant, a 6.1 carat princess cut, from Harry Winston's Big Apple Bling Store. He was told that when he wanted a piece of jewelry again, he could use the credit. And he didn't wait long.
He's called in his mark for a less expensive 4.5 carat white diamond for the much admired Alias star, who in my opinion deserves the best in bling-bling from her man.
Unlike the diva J-Lo, J-Ga is such a terrific regular girl-next-door type that Ben once joked to his friends that she "would be happy with a ring from Sears." Doh! Damn glad he didn't have a big ass credit balance there.
