Since her recent and very public spat and split with Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton is now claiming that Kimberly Stewart was originally her first choice for "The Simple Life" all along.
Hilton is telling people: "When the first installment happened, I wanted Kim. And she was like, 'I'm not doing a reality show.' Nicole was like, 'I'll do it.' I was like, 'All right.' So now it's going to be new and fun, and we're really excited."
But none of this seems to be, like, bothering Nicole who was not only the funny one on "The Simple Life," she was, according to insiders, also a huge support to Paris -- helping her with lines and stuff. Nicole even gave Paris a pet rate for Christmas named Tori Spelling. How will Kim ever be able to fill Nicole's shoes??
And Nicole is not backing down from anything. Since their girlfight became public, they were finally seen at the same party last Thursday night. According to LA.COMfidential: "At the Pioneer Electronics party on April 21 at the Montmartre Lounge in Hollywood, Paris showed up with her new BFF Kimberly Stewart - even though Nicole''s fiance DJ AM was spinning. Also in Paris' posse was Nicky Hilton, Tara Reid and new skinny blonde Lindsay Lohan. Paris and friends then disappeared when Nicole came in and sat down next to her fiance in the booth."
Looks like Lindsay is trying to stay "neutral" in this spat, as she was photographed recently with Nicole (above).

nicole i think ur sooo f@c*ing gorgeous!!! what ever you and Paris are fighting over (nobody knows)! but in the simple life 2 when you were with the cash family you paris and the girls were talking about family and nicole you said "ive known paris all my life shes like my sister and you said u couldnt imagine a life with out paris in it" but still you guys have been friends for such a long time like 21 years and you guys shouldnt end it over a little fight!!! i love you both and you guys should think about all the times you have together!!!! not seening you two on every tabloids cover is defenitly NOT HOTT!
