While a lot of fans of heavy metal have admired Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne for their devotion to each other, many fans have just voted for the couple as their top pick as bestest parents.
They expressed their views in a national MTV poll of about 500 people who claim the Prince of Darkness and his lady would be their choice if they could name their favorite parents. Shaarrooooooonnn!!!
The Osbournes kids, Jack and Kelly, would beg to differ.
, Kelly Osbourne is reported to have called Ozzy a "bad father" and cried during the emotional final episode of "The Osbournes" this season, when hell's best known dysfunctional family met with a therapist to discuss their problems. The doctor asked Kelly what was lacking in her childhood and she replied: "Having a father."
Ozzy was addicted for years to drugs and alcohol and his years on the road with Black Sabbath caused him to miss out on many of the early years when his kids were growing up. Kelly says she has forgiven her father, and she is now dealing with drug issues herself.
According to femalefirst.co.uk, mom Sharon admitted their loose rock and roll style of parenting wasn't enough, and that she had not been strict enough with her three kids. She says she has gone through therapy to improve her parenting, and that she had "seriously f*cked up" in many aspects of raising them. "I don't think I'm a good mum. I tried my best but there are no schools for mums."
