Elton John, who supports many gay causes, is a big fan of Eminem's music.
Rolling Stone magazine is out with it's 2nd "Immortals" edition, and the rocket man is even boasting that he would rank Eminem with the likes of Mick Jagger and Jimi Hendrix, two of rock music's all time legends. The issue features the 50 greatest figures of rock 'n' roll with appreciations written by other artists.
Sir Elton even admitted he got goosebumply when he rehearsed with the rapper for their duo performance at the Grammy Awards ceremony a few years ago. The rapper has been described as homophobic in the past but Elton defended him, telling reporters in 2001 that "If I thought for one minute that he was (hateful), I wouldn't do it."
, "That’s the reason I wanted to appear on the Grammys with him when I was asked, despite all the nonsense talked about his being homophobic. Let the Boy George's and the George Michael's of the world get up in a twist about it if they don’t have the intelligence to see his intelligence."
