No, that's not Taylor Dayne, it's Anastacia. One of these days, Anastacia will longer be compared to the likes of Tina Turner but will be known for her own great music.
Dang, if she doesn't have a great soulful, gospel voice - head and shoulders above the rest of the diva field. And she was just recognized again this past weekend by the German Music Industry's Echo award for the best international pop/rock female artist edging out Nelly Furtado, Norah Jones, Avril Levigne and Katie Melua.
For the men, Britain's Robbie Williams won for the fourth straight year, beating out Phil Collins, George Michael, Seal, and Usher for top honors in the male pop/rock category.
"It's been a dream year for me," said Anastacia, 31. She won her first Echo, which is the world's most prestigious music industry award after the Grammys and Brits, four years ago.
, Also recognized was Eminem, who won the Echo award for best international hip hop. Shady was not in Berlin to accept in person but sent his regards in a videotaped message. "Thanks for this," he said, as the screen showed him staring at the incredibly large Echo trophy. "But it's kind of long and I think I'm going to have to cut off the top so it fits on my shelf."
Melua, a native of Georgia who grew up in Belfast, won the Echo's international newcomer of the year award. Romanian pop rock band O-Zone won single of the year for their hit "Dragostea Din Tei" (Love in the Linden Tree.) Which Americans probably know better as the internet "Numa Numa Dance" by infamous teen blogger and non-singer Gary Brolsma.

Sure, Anastacia is a solid singer, and pretty hot, if you're into the porn-star look, bhut where did she find those clothes. Maybe she's friends with Wonder Woman, and, when rifling hrough her closet to find an outfit to borrow, serendipitously came across WW's S&M club ensemble.
