Are the TV land adventures of Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton coming to an end? Ratings for "A Simple Life" are still good, but Nicole has dropped hints that maybe it's time to move on.

For one thing, there could be that too much togetherness thing going on. There could be a rift growing between the two childhood buddies because "Nicole has grown up a lot," an insider told People magazine, "and Paris is still being Paris."
"I will go to some parties and stuff, but I really just don't have time," Nicole said. She has recently quit smoking and drinking, and is engaged to Adam Goldstein (a.k.a. DJ AM). "With an album and two books in the works, "I have so much on my plate."
They may even be avoiding each other at times. They were both spotted at the Beverly Hills eatery Mr. Chow. Paris came in and was seated first, but when Nicole arrived later she went to the other side of the restaurant.
, But the real rift could be over money. Several sources familiar with the situation at "Simple Life," say that Hilton was getting paid more - an estimated $5 million for this third season.
Nicole's salary for the show is in the millions as well, but it's odd that she's slighted like that. Nicole says she'll consider doing a "Simple Life" season 4, "If they let me stay in a resort," she says, "then I would do it."
